Reading Newsletter

Let’s Read Seminole!

Seminole County Public Schools wants to encourage and provide a summer filled with the magic of reading! Read each and every day to earn opportunities win great prizes. 

The first step is to read! There are a lot of ways to find great books this summer. You might visit the Big Red bookmobile that will be traveling to sites all over Seminole County. The bookmobile schedule can be found on the Let’s Read, Seminole website listed below.

Don’t forget to visit your school’s media center if it is open or take a trip to your local public library.

The next step is to fill out a book log. Students can get a book log from their school and additional book logs can be downloaded from our website.

It’s easy to enter for a chance to win great prizes donated by our sponsors. Take your book log (click attachment) when you return to school to enter a drawing for great prizes. (Prizes are not based on the total number of books read.)

Drawings will be held at each school at the beginning of the school year. School winners have a chance to win in the District Drawings! District winners will be recognized at a School Board meeting and receive a wonderful prize package made possible by our sponsors.

Use your student ID or public library card to “Borrow” eBooks. Books can be read online or Downloaded, and titles will automatically expire at the end of the lending period!
