Photo of Coach CuffCoach Mike Cuff was born in Nyack, New York, on December 19th, 1965.  He attended Bishop Moore High School in Orlando, FL and lettered 2 years in Varsity Boys Basketball for the Hornets.  Mike attended Flagler College, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration with a minor in Physical Education.  He also played 4 years of college basketball for the Saints on scholarship.  Mike has coached Varsity Boys Basketball for 17 years, 13 of which he has been a Head Coach (Bishop Moore, Lake Brantley).  Mike's 2006 Lake Brantley Boys team made a strong post season showing, reaching the 6A Regional Finals in the Elite 8.

Since taking over the Boys Basketball program at Lake Brantley High School in 2005, Mike has taken the program to a new level in a Calipari-like way.  Strong fundamentals, new strategies and methods, as well as a heightened appreciation for performance in the classroom have become synonymous with Mike's program.

Coach Cuff has also stimulated student involvement and interest for his teams and the Varsity Boys Basketball players enjoy a home court atmosphere wherever they play when the 100+ students who represent Cuff's Crew are in the house. The 2011-12 season was one of Lake Brantley High School's most successful in the school's history, posting a 20-5 record, winning the first Seminole Athletic Conference (SAC) title in school history and capturing the regular season District Title.

Mike has posted an impressive record @ Lake Brantley since becoming head coach.  His record @ Lake Brantley of 158 wins and only 84 losses gives Mike a 65.3% win percentage, while he has won @ least 12 games every season.  LBHS posted 8 consecutive winning seasons in Coach Cuff's first 8 seasons guiding the Patriots.  Mike also posted a 3 year record of 38 wins against 46 losses as head boys coach @ his high school alma mater Bishop Moore.  His overall career record of 196 wins and 130 losses gives Mike a career winning percentage of 60.1%. Mike's career coaching statistics and long tenure at LBHS have placed him in the elite level of coaches not only in Central Florida, but the state, as well.

Mike and his wife, Sheri, have 2 children, Dalton, 18, and Halle, 14.  They reside in Longwood, FL.  Mike teaches Team Sports and Physical Education at Lake Brantley High School.

He was named an NCCAA College Basketball All-American and MVP of the Central Region of the country in 2013. Character development is the foundation of his coaching success.

My name is Marchel Smith. I am an alumni of Lake Brantley High School class of 2010. Currently going to college at Seminole State College will be transferring over to UCF. I’ve coached the game of basketball for 7 years now. This is my second year with Lake Brantley as the Head Freshmen Basketball coach. My two previous jobs coach were with AAU programs TNBA and the Orlando Jayhawks. Last year our record was 12-3. It’s great just coming back to a program you were apart of and helping to build it and get it back to prominence. We have an amazing coaching staff and our goal is to help these young men become successful STUDENT athletes. Stressing the importance of being great students and more importantly great human beings on and off the court.
