Does your fashion sense need some inspiration? The Fashion Club will hold their First Annual Fashion Show tomorrow night at 7:00 p.m. Tickets will be on sale for $5.00 today in the Courtyard. Proceeds will go to benefit The Coalition For The Homeless. Please come out and support this worthy cause.

Attention all French Club Members - There will be a French Pinata Party today in Room 7-104. We will be discussing our community service project and doing fun french activities.

Attention STAND Members: There will be a meeting today in Room 8-219. Please bring $13.00 to purchase your stand shirt.

Students, as you know, we sold out of Krispy Kreme doughnuts very quickly last Friday. If you would like to guarantee your order, you may pre-order a dozen doughnuts for only $8.00 in Room 8-126 until Thursday. On Friday, we will sell doughnuts before school and during lunches until the supplies run out for $1.00 each or 6 doughnuts for $5.00. The Proud Patriot Scholarship is a $500 award that is sponsored by PTSA. Any Senior can be nominated by a teacher, staff member or fellow student. Candidates should be nominated for demonstrating a solid commitment to Lake Brantley, having respect for students, staff and parents, volunteering time and energy when needed and setting an example of the best of what Lake Brantley has to offer. Nomination forms and boxes are located in each Building Office. The nomination deadline is April 1, 2010.

The Girls Track Team took Third Place at The Lake Brantley Open on Saturday. The team had outstanding performances by Samantha Mccann, Kiera Sykes, Nikkita Casey, Nicole Poole, Elana Ainsley, Taylor Burger, Sarai Waters, Cassandra Harden, Casey Marten, Alexis Sams, Emily Hamas, Alex Lutka and Shaina Brock. Congratulations on a great showing!

The Boys Track Team won this weekend's Lake Brantley Open. Lake Brantley established itself as one of the top teams in Central Florida by beating all 20 teams. First place finishes included the 4 x 800 relay team of Tucker Morgan, Danny Dechellis, Ryan Dechellis and Otniel Teixeira by running a Central Florida best of 8:07. 2nd place finishers included Jeff Dorcely in the 400, Otniel Teixeira in the 1600, Christian Ogle in the 110 meter hurdles, and the Lake Brantley 4 x 400 team. 3rd place finishers included Christian Ogle in the 300 hurdles,and Otniel Teixeira in the 800. Tucker Morgan was 4th in the 800. The Track Team will be at home at Tom Storey Field on Wednesday and Friday evenings. Come out to cheer on our Tracksters!

The Rowing Team took their 3rd All Points Trophy for this year as they won the 2010 Stanton Invitational recently in Jacksonville with 891 points, 9 gold, 4 silver and 1 bronze medals. The mens side took home 4 gold: varsity 4, novice 4, 3rd 8 and 3rd 4, 3 silver medals: Junior Varsity 4, novice 8 and 2x and a bronze: Varsity 8. The ladies side was not to be outdone, taking home gold medals: Varsity 8, Junior Varsity 8, Varsity 4, Novice 4 and 3rd 4 along with 2 silver medals: Junior Varsity 4 and 3rd 8. It was a beautiful day in Jacksonville with the venue having a unique view of the finish from a vantage point on a bridge overlooking the St. Johns River. However, they cannot rest on their laurels for long as one of the biggest challenges of the season take place at The Oars Regatta on Turkey Lake in Orlando with over 30 teams competing and 19 entires in the Varsity 8 category along. Come and cheer them on and enjoy these unique sporting events. Cheerleading try-outs will be held March 22nd - 26th. Packets are available in the Athletic Office and all Building Offices. There will be a Parent Meeting tonight at 7:00 p.m. in the Media Center to discuss new changes.

Attention Asian American Association Members: Meet in Room 6-125 today after school. Bring all money or left over fund raiser items. Those interested in running for an officer position can also begin the application process today.

Congratulations to the Boys Varsity Lacrosse for their wins this weekend. On Friday night, the team beat Creekside High School from Jacksonville 12 to 10. Dylan Soler tallied 4 goals and 1 assist. On Saturday night, the team faced Barron Collier and beat them by the score of 13 to 11. Joey Pellarin scored 3 times and assisted on 3 others. The team is now 6 and 1. Their next game is at Hagerty on Friday.
