Important Attendance Information & Resources for Lake Brantley Families

Patriots Families,

We know that regular attendance is one of the biggest factors in student success, so we wanted to share a few helpful resources to make attendance reporting as easy as possible.
  • SCPS Attendance Information- Provides an overview of attendance policies, including excused and unexcused absences, required documentation, timelines for submitting excuse requests, and truancy information. Parents/guardians may excuse up to 10 days of absences per school year for qualifying reasons, and excuse requests should be submitted within one week of the student's return to school.
  • Skyward Family Access Information- These guides walk families through how to access Skyward Family Access, monitor attendance, check grades, update information, and submit absence requests online. 
As a reminder: Absence requests can be submitted directly through Skyward Family Access. Once you submit an absence request in Skyward, you do not need to send an additional email or paper note unless supporting documentation is required (such as a doctor's note or court documentation). Any attendance documentation can be submitted to the official LBHS attendance email at lbhs_attendance@scps.k12.fl.us. Students may also drop off documentation in the Building 7 Attendance Office. We encourage families to use Skyward Family Access whenever possible for the quickest and most efficient processing of attendance requests.
