Parents/Community Members - SAC is a wonderful way to get involved at LBHS and your help is needed. Members serve in an advisory capacity to the principal. The purpose of the SAC is to assist in the development of the educational programs, the School Improvement Plan and to advise the school on budgetary allocations and disbursement of funds as allocated by the state legislature. Our SAC at Lake Brantley works to promote communication and involvement between the School and the local community.
The Seminole County School Board mandates the establishment of a School Advisory Council (SAC) in each district school, to serve in an advisory capacity to the principal. The purpose of the SAC is to assist in the development of the educational programs, the School Improvement Plan (required by Florida State Sunshine Law) and to advise the school on budgetary allocations and disbursement of funds as allocated by the state legislature. Our SAC at Lake Brantley works to promote communication and involvement between the School and the local community.
SAC Membership is comprised of school personnel (administrative, instructional and non-instructional,) parent / community members and students. We currently meet the 3rd Monday of each month in the Media Center. All meetings are open to the public and visitors are encouraged to attend. Budget Committee meetings are held before each SAC meeting; budget requests must be submitted in advance. The SAC Budget Committee meets at 7:00PM the night of SAC Meetings in which budget requests have been submitted for review.
Please contact Donald Fields, Assistant Principal for more information on how to be a part of SAC: 407-746-3504
